This is a fixed-term job-share position on a week on/week off basis for the 2022/2023 school year.

The successful applicant will be required to work in both a mainstream setting and in an ASD class as directed by the Principal

Desirable experience:
- Significant experience working with pupils with ASD and communication difficulties
- Practical experience with promotion of positive behaviour
- Proven ability to work well within a team and display a strong work ethic.
- Evidence of CPD in the area of Special Education is advantageous as well as displaying a commitment to ongoing CPD engagement.
- Experience of working in a special school/special class setting and other relevant
qualifications/courses as well as distinct knowledge in TEACCH, Lámh, PECS and Boardmaker
- Excellent ICT skills and ability to make and create teaching resources for pupils and teachers
- Experience of caring for children with physical disabilities
- Training and experience in first aid administration
