Panel of Applicants:
An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
Little Angels Special National School caters for students with a moderate or severe to profound intellectual disability aged 4-18 years. In addition, many students have additional needs such as an assessed syndrome, autism, physical disability and complex medical needs.
Experience working with children with ASD in a special school setting will be a distinct advantage. The successful applicant should demonstrate experience and competency in the use of augmentative communication and assistive technologies for pupils with ASD, demonstrate the ability to work within a team, have experience working from behavioural support plans and managing challenging behaviour.
We are recruiting for 3 standard SNA positions, a fixed term position, and two specific purpose contracts to cover 2 maternity leave positions.
Appointment will be subject to satisfactory references, current vetting requirements and occupational health screening.
