An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

Bunscoil Rinn an Chabhlaigh is a mixed primary school based in Cobh, Co. Cork. The school has an administrative principal and administrative deputy principal. There are 24 mainstream classes along with 4 special classes for children with autism. Teachers in this school will have the opportunity to teach at all levels.
The school has a long record of both sporting and cultural achievements, which the Board credits to the teaching staff and parents of the school.
Teachers with a strong work ethic who understand what effective teaching and learning looks like are invited to apply for the position. Applicants will be expected to collaborate with all members of staff for the development of the whole school and to maximise each child’s chance of success.
Teachers are encouraged to share their own skills and talents beyond teaching hours also be it in relation to children’s learning, extra-curricular activities or whole school development.
Bunscoil Rinn an Chabhlaigh is a Droichead school and all applicants with conditions on their Teaching Council registration will be expected to participate in the Droichead process. Teachers new to the school are also mentored by trained members of staff and applicants are expected to be open to this mentoring process.

Candidates called for interview will be notified via email.
The mainstream class teacher is responsible for the education of the children in their class in all aspects of their development. They also collaborate with the support teacher to co-ordinate the special education support for children with additional educational needs.
There is are 3 fixed term post being advertised for school based work along with 3 further posts on the Supply Panel for this area, however, any further fixed term internal vacancies or other long term substitute jobs within the school will be filled from this round of applications should they arise.
