Applicants are invited for the post of teaching principal in Lauragh National School. This vibrant and inclusive school has a Catholic Ethos and is under the Patronage of the Catholic Diocese of Kerry.

The successful candidate must have a certificate to teach Religious Education and a commitment to promoting Catholic Ethos. Candidates shortlisted for interview will be required to present proof of qualifications and Teacher Council Registration.

Roles and Responsibilities of this post relate to four Domains of Leadership and Management as specified in Circular 0044/2019.

1). Leading Teaching and Learning.
2). Managing Organisation.
3). Leading School Development.
4). Developing Leadership Capacity.

Applicants should demonstrate:
An understanding of a commitment to Catholic Ethos.
A comprehensive understanding of leadership management and administration in a primary school context.
Have proven interpersonal, leadership and communication skills and ability to implement school based initiatives, manage school teams and lead the school community.
