Harold’s Cross Educate Together Secondary School (HCETSS) opened in August 2020 in temporary accommodation on the site of the former Greyhound Racing Stadium, Harold’s Cross. This is also the permanent location of the school which when built will ultimately accommodate 1000 students.

As an Educate Together school, we are building a team who share the educational vision outlined in Educate Together's Blueprint for Second Level.

We are looking for a teacher of PE, SPHE and Learning Support. Please note that the number of hours available may increase following confirmation of our staffing allocation for 2022-2023.

Given the nature of a start-up school, it is envisaged that teachers would teach a range of subjects, help to develop a strong co-curricular and extra-curricular culture and that they would enjoy leading aspects of school development under the guidance and support of the Principal and Deputy Principal.

The successful candidate must be a team player who displays the HCETSS team attributes of humility, commitment and common sense and who is willing to collaborate closely with colleagues in creating a vibrant learning environment.


The school will also offer a coaching and mentoring programme to support our staff's continuous professional development as well as building leadership capacity within our school.

Students in the school use iPads and the integration of technology into learning and teaching will be an important element in the school's approach.
This position offers an exciting opportunity to establish and build a subject department(s) in a vibrant and growing school.


All vacancies are subject to the approval of The Director of Redevelopment and to sanction by the DES and the Board of Management.
