Rahan National School is a co-educational Catholic school under the patronage of the Bishop of Cloyne.
The school has 4 mainstream classes.
The successful candidate will ideally have:
1. A clear understanding of and commitment to the ethos of a Catholic Primary School (Copies of certification to teach Religious Education in a Catholic school should be included)
2. Strong leadership skills and experience of managing people (in any setting)
3. Knowledge and capacity to successfully lead and administer our school and to deliver all school programmes/initiatives
4. Excellent communication skills
The roles and responsibilities of the post are determined by the four domains of leadership and management as set out in Circular 0044/2019:
1. Leading Teaching and Learning
2. Managing the Organisation
3. Leading School Development
4. Developing Leadership Capacity
Postal applications should be marked "Principal Application 2022"
A minimum of 3 applications will be required by the Interview Board.
