Stanhope Street Primary school has 2 ASD classes. It currently has a bus escort vacancy for the 2021/2022 school year
The escorts will accompany pupil(s) on taxi/bus transport from their home to and from school. The escort must be available in the mornings and afternoons, five days per week for the school year. The bus escort must be available in the mornings from 7.30am - 9:00am and afternoons from 1:40pm – 3.10pm. These are approximate times only and do not constitute the actual working hours.The route will commence at the school.

An understanding of children with Special Needs is important and the bus escort must be kind, patient and empathetic.

The escort is responsible for the safety of the child on board the bus/taxi and will be required to provide pupil care needs including, but not limited to, assisting the child getting on and off the bus/taxi, securing appropriate seat belts, etc.

Satisfactory references, Garda Vetting and Occupational Health Screening is required. Department of Education guidelines apply.
