Early Years Classroom Assistant and After School supervisor required for Castle Park School

Castle Park School in Dalkey have an opening in their Early Years department for the above position. The hours are from 8.30am until 6.30pm, during school term time only, with appropriate breaks built into the day.
The successful candidate will work as a classroom assistant with children age 3-6 years and will then assist the Day Care Manager until 6.30pm.
To be successful in this position, applicants must:

• Enjoy working with school age children and have at least two years’ relevant experience
• Have a Childcare qualification (minimum requirement Fetac Level 5)
• Fluent English is essential and have good communication skills
• Hard working, reliable and ability to work on own initiative.
• Have the ability to multi-task and enjoy working as part of a team

Classroom Assistant Role includes:
• Assisting the classroom teacher to implement an Early Childhood curriculum, which will incorporate Aistear and EYFS
• To help with the preparation and organisation of age appropriate activities

The After-School role includes:
• Planning and carrying out fun activities based on the children's interests
• Assisting and supervising homework
• Assisting in areas of the day to day running of the after school, including indoor and outdoor activities
• Ensuring the Day Care room is well presented and organised
