An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
We have two bus escort vacancies related to our new Junior ASD Class which opens on Monday 30th August. The start date for these positions will be confirmed by Bus Eireann but should be no later than mid September.
One of the routes will operate between our school and Naas, Tulfarris and Blessington. The other route will operate to and from Saggart.
The escorts will accompany pupil(s) on taxi/bus transport from their home to and from school. The escort must be available in the mornings and afternoons, five days per week.
No official qualifications are required but an understanding of children with Special Needs is important and the bus escort must be kind, patient and empathetic. .
The escort is responsible for the safety of the child on board the bus/taxi and will be required to provide pupil care needs including, but not limited to, assisting the child getting on and off the bus/taxi, securing appropriate seat belts, etc.
Appointment will be subject, but not limited, to satisfactory references; current Vetting requirements and Occupational Health Screening. Department of Education guidelines apply.
