Lucan Community National School (CNS) is a multidenominational school. Established in 2013, it is a developing school with classes ranging from Junior Infants to Sixth Class. As a school community, we are also very proud of our two ASD classes.

Community National Schools are a new model of primary education which were founded to answer the changing needs of Irish society. Lucan CNS welcomes pupils of all faiths, beliefs and traditions. Lucan CNS comes under the patronage of Dublin and Dún Laoghaire Education and Training Board. Community National Schools are state-run schools.

Lucan CNS strives to create an environment which encourages excellence in education, using innovative and dynamic approaches, where all members of the school community work in partnership to help each child achieve to the fullest of his/her potential. The school is a digital school which utilises IT to enhance learning in every aspect of the curriculum. Children from 2nd to 6th Class have 1:1 iPads.

Lucan CNS is located off the Balgaddy Road in Lucan, in a new building which hosts an enthusiastic, motivated and happy school community.
