POST DETAILS
Additional Information:
One fixed term full time vacancy to accommodate job-sharing arrangement.
One permanent full time sna vacancy.
An internal panel of suitable applicants will be set up to fill vacancies that may arise within the next school year from the date the Board approves the successful applicants.
The successful candidate should have the following:
FETAC Level 5 or 6 Special Needs Assistants Course.
Experience of working with children with a wide range of needs including but not exclusively ASD, ADHD, SPLD, MGLD, SEBD etc.
Flexibility and ability to work as a team player.
Excellent communication skills.
Prioritise confidentiality and discretion when supporting the children.
Assist with intimate care needs where necessary.
A willingness to engage with continuous professional development.
Other desirable qualifications include:
Experience of using PECS.
Manual Handling Training.
First Aid Training.
Basic I.T. skills.
Successful applicants must be prepared to work in mainstream and Special Education classes as the needs of the school require.
