The position is 22 hours within an ASD classroom .The position has arisen due to medical leave. The successful candidate will be required to collaborate with the ASD team in the assessment, development and delivery of ASD student programmes over the course of the leave period. Please note that a specific SEN qualification is not necessary to secure a position within a special classroom. However a SEN qualification would be an advantage.
All appointments are subject to the sanction and approval of the Department of Education and Skills and the post not being required for the redeployment process.
Previous teaching experience is essential within a secondary school environment.
Classes at junior and senior level
Short-listing is likely to be part of the selection process.
An ability to support the extra-curricular programme of the school would be an advantage.
Registration by the Teaching Council will be required for appointment.
Garda Vetting Disclosure will be required for appointment.
