An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
Applications are invited for the position of Bus Escort to accompany pupils on their journey by bus to and from the Convent Primary School.
The hours of work are variable but will be approximately:
Monday to Friday: 7.00am – 9.00am and 1.15pm – 2.30pm
The basic hourly rate is €14.47 which is inclusive of holiday pay. Bus Escorts are not paid during school holidays.
The escort must have their own transport to and from the drop-off point.
Candidates should have experience in working with children, have an understanding of special needs particularly ASD and be able to deal with parents and school staff in a professional way.
The person appointed will ideally hold an appropriate qualification (FETAC award or equivalent). Some training will be provided.
Applications can be posted or emailed. They should include a covering letter, Curriculum Vitae and two Referees. Applicants must be prepared to complete a Garda vetting form.
