St. Michael’s House Special National School Raheny is seeking applications for the post of Administrative Principal. The post will be of interest to teachers in special and mainstream education that are committed to; leading a progressive school team, to the development of a positive learning environment for pupils with a moderate intellectual disability and have a proven record in curriculum and policy development.

Raheny SNS is one of six special schools under the patronage of St. Michael’s House in the greater Dublin Area. The new Principal will join a team of experience Principals working across the six schools and will be able to benefit from their knowledge and skills as they settle into their new role.

Located on the Raheny Road in Dublin 5 the school caters for 52 pupils with a moderate intellectual disability in a bright modern school building.

A minimum of 3 applications are required for the competition to proceed.

Applicants must be fully registered under Regulation 2 (Primary), 3 (Montessori and other Categories) or 4 (Post Primary) with Teaching Council and have 5 years recognised teaching service, two of which must be in a recognised primary school or post primary school within the Republic of Ireland.
