A vacancy exists for a part-time substitute/relief Bus Escort on the school bus service.

This position will require the successful candidate to be available to work between 1-2 hours in the morning and 1-2 hours in the afternoon, Monday to Friday during the school year, to cover absences for other Bus Escorts. Hours of work are in keeping with the school calendar.

The ideal candidate will be:
· Responsible for assisting pupils on and off the bus and to ensure pupils’ safety when travelling
· Responsible for observing and supervising pupils when travelling
· Responsible for communication between home and school
· Sensitive and respectful in all dealings with pupils in the school
· Enthusiastic, energetic and flexible
· In a position to rendezvous with the bus driver at an agreed location
· Available to work in keeping with the school calendar

Salary Scale: hourly rate €13.14 as determined by the Department of Education and Skills.
