Applicants are invited from eligible teachers for the post of Principal Teacher at Scoil na Naomh Uilig, Rickardstown, Newbridge, Co Kildare, Roll No. 20271T.
Scoil na Naomh Uilig is a Catholic School, founded in 2007, under the patronage of the Diocese of the Bishop of Kildare and Leighlin,
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate a commitment to continue to lead and strengthen the Catholic ethos of the school. The successful candidate must have a recognised qualification to teach Religious Education.
Scoil na Naomh Uilig is a fully inclusive school with a pupil population of approximately 620. It welcomes children of all abilities and we are a restorative school community. We have 24 mainstream classes, 3 classes for children with Autism and 2 classes for children with Severe to Profound Learning Disabilities as well as 11 Special Education Teaching posts. We have 23 SNAs, 3 ancillary staff and 4 bus escorts.
Along with a highly organised Administrative Deputy Principal we have a vibrant, supportive and active middle management and staff. This is a great opportunity to join this team and lead a very progressive school into the next phase of its development.
The appointment will be from 2nd November 2020 or as soon as is practicable thereafter.
In addition the following skills, knowledge and experience are desirable:
Evidence of continuing professional development especially in a leadership role.
Excellent communication skills.
Proven ability to work as a member of a team.
Experience in policy development.
Experience in prioritising, planning and organising workload.
Knowledge of Special Education Needs and a commitment to inclusion and respect of diversity.
Candidates called for interview will be required to provide proof of qualifications and teaching registration.
