Bohermore National School is a small, vibrant, rural school, 6 km from Limerick city. It is a Catholic school under the patronage of the Arch Diocese of Cashel and Emly. The current enrolment is 24 mainstream and 6 in the special class.
There are two mainstream class teachers and a shared Learning Support Teacher and a teacher in the special class for children with A.S.D. There are 4 SNAs employed in the school.
The successful candidate must have a recognised qualification to teach religion and a commitment to prioritising the catholic ethos.
In addition, the following skills, knowledge and experience are desirable:
Previous teaching across all classes in a multi-grade school.
Evidence of continuing professional development especially in a leadership role.
Excellent communication skills.
Proven ability to work as a member of a team.
Experience in policy development.
Experience in prioritising, planning and organising workload.
Experience in the development, implementation, operation and evaluation of innovative school-based activities.
Knowledge of Special Educational Needs and a commitment to inclusion and respect of diversity.
