This is 0.5 post (16 hours a week over 5 days) and is subject to annual review by the SENO and NCSE.

Experience assisting children with A.S.D, A.D.H.D and diabetes in a primary school setting desirable.
Experience and training in communication needs and toileting care preferable.
Practical experience with the management of challenging behaviour and promotion of positive behaviour strategies preferable.

Candidates must be able to work well within a team, display a strong work ethic and demonstrate a willingness to avail of further training.

This position will involve working closely with the class teacher and other staff in support of children with special needs. It may require working with one or more children with special needs during the school day.

The successful candidate will be expected to respect the confidentiality of students at all times.

Appointment will be subject but not limited to: Satisfactory references, Current Vetting Requirements and Occupational Health Screening.
