Education Support Officer

Fostering First Ireland (FFI) is a leading independent fostering agency working in partnership with the Child and Family Agency (Tusla) in Ireland. We wish to make the following appointment:
Education Support Officer - Home Based - Full Time Permanent
(Greater Dublin/Midlands area)

*Salary based on public sector salary scales and commensurate with experience*

-You will be responsible for delivering and developing the FFI Education Support Service to foster carers, children and young people.
-You will provide specific support to children, young people and foster carers at key stages in their education
-You will be a self-starter, comfortable with taking initiative, a creative problem solver and you will share your experience with a multi-disciplinary team of committed staff.
-You must have a recognised 3rd level qualification and 3 years’ post qualification experience working in an education setting
-This post may involve occasional overnight stays away from home and also involves extensive travel.
-You must have excellent organisational, IT and paperwork management skills.
-You must have a full, clean driving licence.
