An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

St. Bernadette's Special School caters for students with a mild intellectual disability aged 4-18 years. In addition, many students have additional needs such as assessed syndrome, Autism, physical disability, etc. The successful candidate must be able to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Our post-primary aged students engage in the Junior Cycle Level 2 Programme. Knowledge and experience of PECS, Lámh, Positive behaviour strategies is an advantage.

Appointment will be subject to satisfactory references, current and continuing Teaching Council Registration, current vetting requirements and occupational health screening.
