Scoil Naomh Pádraig, Corr a Chrainn, Emyvale, Monaghan is a Catholic school. Minimum qualifications for an SNA are outlined in DES circular 44/2014. Applicants with a PF1 must submit a copy with their application. Please put "SNA Application" in the subject title of the email.
The position is a full time position. This post is subject to Garda vetting and health screening.
Immediate duties for the post will be in a newly established Class for Children with Autism. SNAs can be allocated to any SNA role in the school at any time, at the discretion of the school principal.
Knowledge and experience of working in a class for children with ASD is desirable.
An additional qualification in additional/special needs care and/or education, including autism or a related area is advantageous.
Additional childcare and/or other relevant qualifications or courses (e.g. First Aid, Manual Handling, Positive Behaviour Support Strategies, PECS, LAMH, etc) would be beneficial.
