St Vincent’s Primary School is situated in Glasnevin in the north of the city. The school was established in the present premises by the Christian Brothers in 1939. The school is under the trusteeship of the Edmund Rice Schools Trust. Please refer to www.erst.ie for the ERST charter.
The school is a vertical school from Junior Infants to 6th which has to date catered for boys only. We have recently applied for, and been granted, Co-ed status and in September for the first time we will be welcoming girls into our Junior Infants. From September 2021 the school will be fully open to girls.
Our school is committed to the full and proper development of all children including those with special needs to enable the attainment of their full educational and social potential in a positive and nurturing atmosphere, upholding the unique ethos of an Edmund Rice School. In a world where change is constant, we aspire to offer children an oasis of calm and understanding in which they can learn and develop their talents in a caring school community where they are both appreciated and valued and can become the very best that they can be.
