St Gabriel's school is a school for children with a Physical /Multiple Disability and is one of only 5 similar schools in the country.
The age range of children who attend our school is 4-18 Years, Primary and Post Primary levels.
The pupil teacher ratio is 6:1 with support from SNA's.
The children have access to all the relevant therapies during school hours including O.T, P.T, S&L, Hydro and Nursing.
Applicants should have an in depth knowledge of the curriculum and a broad range of teaching experience. Applicants in their CV should show evidence of :-
Continuing and relevant Professional Development.
Experience of managing people in any setting.
Proven ability to work as a member of a team.
Excellent communication skills. Experience in prioritising, planning and organising workload
Proven Leadership Skills
Experience in the development, implementation, operation and evaluation of innovative school based initiatives.
Previous experience in participating in policy development. Eligibility Criteria for this appointment include the following :- Fully registered under Regulation 2 (Primary), 3 (Montessori and other categories) or 4 (Post Primary) with the Teaching Council and have 5 Years teaching service, 2 of which must be in a recognised Primary School or post primary school within the Republic of Ireland.
