Applications are invited for the position of Principal of Linn Dara School: Roll No. 19630o. Linn Dara School is a non-denominational secondary top special school (for pupils up to 18 years of age) under the patronage of the Health Service Executive.
The post is for a permanent Administrative Principal commencing on September 1st, 2020. The school operates under Primary School Administration. Linn Dara School has 3 sections – Linn Dara CAMHS Inpatient Unit and Linn Dara Education Day Programme are both located on the Cherry Orchard Hospital Campus in Dublin 10. Linn Dara Transition Programme operates in Quarryvale Community and Leisure Centre, Dublin 22.
The school has 7.6 teaching posts (including the Principal), 3 additional teaching staff employed by City of Dublin ETB, 1 school paid Special Needs Assistant and a Secretary.
Applicants must comply with eligibility criteria for Principalship of special schools with pupils enrolled up to the age of 18 years of age, as set down by the Dept. of Education & Skills in Circular 44/19:
Fully registered under Route 1 (Primary), Route 4 (Other) or Route 2 (Post Primary) with the Teaching Council and have 5 years recognised teaching service, two of which must be in a recognised primary school or post-primary school within the Republic of Ireland.
