Stewarts School caters for students with moderate, severe and profound general learning disabilities and complex SEN between the ages of four and eighteen years. We are currently recruiting to fill a panel of substitute special needs assistants to cover for staff on short term absences. Candidates are required to have the Junior Certificate or equivalent as a minimum requirement. Leaving Certificate and an additional qualification in special education, including autism or a related area is advantageous. Training will be provided as needed. Duties include working with students of all ages throughout the school, feeding, toileting, dressing, assisting students in the swimming pool and supporting students with behaviours of concern.
