Greystones Educate Together National School are seeking to appoint a bus escort commencing 28th January, 2020. The escort will accompany one specific pupil on specialised bus transport from their home to and from school.
The bus escort must be available in the mornings from approximately 8am to 9:10am and from 1.50pm to approximately 3pm during school term. Escorts must have their own transport to and from the school which is the pick up and drop off point for our escorts.
The escort is responsible for the safety of the pupil on board the bus and will be required to assist them getting on and off the bus and securing appropriate seat belts.
Experience working with children with autism and complex needs is desirable. Candidates will be expected to collaborate with parents and school staff in a professional way, they will need to communicate regarding pick ups/drop offs, illnesses, traffic, delays etc.
Appointment is subject to Garda vetting and appropriate character references.
