Bus Escort 1: Required for Birdhill NS:
Approximately 12.5 hours per week (Mon – Fri)
Mornings from 7.30 am to 8.50 am
Afternoons from 1.30pm to 2.40 pm

Bus Escort 2: Required for Birdhill NS:
Approximately 7.5 hours per week (Mon – Fri)
Mornings from 8.10 am to 8.40 am
Afternoons from 1.30pm to 2pm
Afternoons from 2.30pm to 3pm

* School Bus Escorts will be expected to travel to and from an agreed pick-up and drop-off point to meet the bus driver.

Birdhill National School caters for students with complex needs arising from an ASD diagnosis and is looking to recruit two Bus Escorts. School Bus Escorts accompany and supervise pupils attending Birdhill NS on the journey to and from School each school day. We need two bus escorts who are kind, caring and competent. Experience in working with children with ASD and challenging behaviour is essential. Candidates should be able to work with parents and school staff in a professional way.
A panel of substitute escorts will be created from successful applicants. All successful applicants will be subject to Garda Vetting, asked to complete the ‘Introduction to Children First’ Elearning programme and the General Medmark Pre-Employment Form.

Applicants must supply suitable character references.
Hourly rate of pay will be as per DES guidelines, see Circular Letter 0050/2019.
Bus Escorts are not paid during school holidays.
