Scoil Choilm Community National School is a relatively new school which was established under emergency conditions in September 2007. Community National Schools are a new model of primary education which were established to answer the changing needs of Irish society. Scoil Choilm CNS is a multi-denominational school which welcomes pupils of all faiths, beliefs and traditions. The school is committed to a spirit of inclusion, equality and partnership in education. Scoil Choilm Community National School comes under the patronage of Dublin and Dún Laoghaire Education and Training Board. Community National Schools are state run schools.
The staff and school community of Scoil Choilm CNS endeavours at all times to provide a happy, pleasant school atmosphere for the pupils where there is co-operation between parents, teachers and children. It is our mission that all three parties will work together to establish this positive school atmosphere. In a spirit of partnership in education, all parties seek to work cooperatively to develop a school which we are all proud of. Scoil Choilm CNS is very proud of its vibrant school community and cultural diversity.
Scoil Choilm CNS is committed to a high standard of education where the child is central to the educational process. Every effort is made at all times with the co-operation of parents to help each child to reach his/her full potential. We believe that co-operation, courtesy and good manners are essential for an effective school and for the educational development of our pupils.
Our projected enrolment for September 2019 is 880 pupils. The school is a vertical school which hosts classes from Junior Infants to Sixth class. As a school community we are also very proud of our two ASD special classes. These special classes host 6 pupils per class. Like all aspects of our school, we strive for as much inclusion as possible for the pupils in our special classes.
Scoil Choilm CNS is located on the Porterstown Road in Clonsilla, Dublin 15. The school has state of the art facilities and hosts a vibrant and happy school community.

Scoil Choilm CNS welcomes applications from all teachers including newly qualified teachers that are currently awaiting registration with the Teaching Council. Scoil Choilm CNS is fully implementing Droichead and seek to provide support and CPD to all staff members.
