New Court Special School provides education for students aged 5 - 18 whose primary assessed need is a Mild General Learning Disability, along with associated special educational needs. It also caters for a number of students with a Moderate General Learning Disability.
Applicants should have an in-depth knowledge of the curriculum and a broad range of teaching experience. At least five years teaching experience is required, at least two of which must be in a recognised primary school within the Republic of Ireland. Applicants should also have excellent people management, leadership and communication skills, a proven ability to implement school based initiatives and policies and a commitment to continuous professional development.
Appointment will be subject, but not limited, to satisfactory references, current and continuing Teaching Council Registration, current vetting requirements and occupational health screening.
A minimum of three eligible applicants are required for this competition to proceed.
