An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

The ideal candidtae is one whom:
*Demonstrates proven experience working with children in an ASD class setting, with a strong focus on pupil-centred learning, communication strategies, and sensory/behavioural support.
*Has a proven track record of effective collaboration with staff within an ASD class context, working seamlessly alongside Special Needs Assistants (SNAs), multi-disciplinary teams, and mainstream teaching colleagues to foster an inclusive school culture.
*Is flexible and responsive to the evolving needs of the children and the wider school environment.
*Is energetic, enthusiastic, and eager to contribute actively to our staff team while showing strong personal initiative.
*Is willing to undertake relevant professional learning opportunities tailored to the specific needs of the children and our special class structure.
• Appointments are subject to confirmation of qualifications, current Garda Vetting requirements, Teaching Council registration and Occupational Health Screening.
