Kilcommon NS is a small rural primary school with two classrooms. We have a shared principal release teacher and a shared support teacher who is based in another school. We have a full-time special needs assistant post currently filled by two people job-sharing.
The successful candidate will lead a dedicated and collaborative staff and will work closely with the Board of Management, parents, pupils and the wider community to ensure the continued development and success of the school.
The appointment process will be governed by the terms of Department of Education Circular 0044/2019.
The roles and responsibilities relate to the four domains of leadership and management:
1. Leading Learning and Teaching
2. Managing the Organisation
3. Leading School Development
4. Developing Leadership Capacity
Please include a recognised certificate to teach Religious Education and a copy of your Teaching Council Registration Certificate with your application.
Appointment will be subject to references, current Vetting requirements and Occupational Health Screening.
