Scoil Mhuire is situated in Clondalkin Village. We cater for girls from age 4 to 12 and for boys age 4 to 7. We are a Catholic school under the patronage of His Grace, Archbishop Dermot Farrell.
The Board of Management of Scoil Mhuire invites applications for the permanent position of Deputy Principal. This appointment will be made via open competition in accordance with Department of Education regulations. The Deputy Principal co-operates with the Principal in the good leadership and management of the school. Under Looking at Our Schools 2022: A Quality Framework, the responsibilities span four key leadership domains:
1. Leading Teaching and Learning
2. Managing the Organisation
3. Leading School Development
4. Developing Leadership Capacity
Essential Criteria
Fully registered with the Teaching Council (Route 1 for Primary / Route 2 for Post-Primary).
Minimum of 5 years of recognized teaching service, including at least 2 years in a recognized school within the Republic of Ireland.
A clear understanding of school governance, inclusion, and Special Educational Needs (SEN).
Strong interpersonal, communication, and team-leading capabilities.
