An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
The Bus Escort must be available in the mornings and afternoons.
Hours of work Monday-Friday
7:30am -8:30am
1:10pm -2:10pm
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Accompanying and ensuring the safety of the students during transit to and from the school.
• Secure seat belts and other other safety equipment
• Assisting the students on and off the transport vehicle safely.
• Cooperating with the driver and communicating effectively with school management and parents.
• Maintaining a calm, supportive, and safe environment during the journey.
Requirements:
• Relevant experience working with children, particularly children with special educational needs.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Reliability, punctuality, and a strong commitment to child safeguarding.
• Appointment is subject to satisfactory references, mandatory Garda Vetting, and Occupational Health Screening.
Salary:
• Payment is at the standard hourly rate set by the Department of Education.
