An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

The Management Committee of Edel Quinn School invites applications from suitably qualified person for Special Needs Assistants.
Edel Quinn School is a newly established Catholic co-educational special school under the patronage of the Archbishop of Dublin.
Edel Quinn School is established for the education of students with:
• a diagnosis of autism and a moderate to severe/profound general learning disability and complex needs arising, or
• a diagnosis moderate to severe/profound range of learning disability and complex needs arising
between the ages of 4 and 18, who have a professional recommendation for a special school placement.
Experience working with children with autism and complex needs in a special school setting would be a distinct advantage.
Knowledge of low arousal approaches and communication interventions is desirable.
First Aid and Therapeutic Crisis Intervention qualifications are desirable.
Experience in the use of PECS, LÁMH, ISL and Positive Behaviour Management strategies are desirable.
The successful candidate must be able to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment, be flexible, display excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and demonstrate a willingness to engage in further relevant professional development.
