Additional Information:
The Board of Management of Burncourt NS wishes to invite expressions of interest in a permanent vacancy, with initial duties as Mainstream class teacher from teachers listed on the Supplementary Panel for the Diocese of Waterford and Lismore.
The following skills, experience and qualifications are desirable:
-Experience of teaching in a similar sized co-educational school.
-Excellent classroom management skills and experience of dealing with challenging behaviour.
-Evidence of ongoing CPD would be advantageous.
-Experience in the following areas will be advantageous:
Aistear, Literacy Lift-Off, IEP’s, Standardised Testing, Guided Reading, Running Records, IT for SEN, Team-Teaching.
-High standard of Gaeilge.
- Willingness to become involved in the school community
This is a school with four mainstream classes, two ASD classes and one SET position. The successful candidate must be willing to teach in any of the class settings in our school.
Expressions of interest should be posted to the below address by 21/08/2026 being 5 calendar days from the date of this advertisement.
Non-compliance with terms of the advertisement will automatically disqualify candidates.
