Additional Information:
The Board of Management of Malahide Portmarnock Educate Together Secondary School (MPETSS) seeks applications from teachers for a period of 9 weeks cover for Parental Leave for an English teacher. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of an innovative, growing school and to be part of a developing and vibrant school community at an exciting stage of its journey.
MPETSS operates in a new, modern, well‑resourced school building. The school is at an exciting stage of development, offering excellent professional opportunities for experienced, motivated teachers who wish to play an active role in shaping a positive and inclusive school culture. We seek to build a team of creative, committed, and passionate educators who share our vision and who are eager to contribute positively to the culture and life of the school.
Teaching and learning at MPETSS is collaborative, reflective, and student‑centred. Staff work closely together to continually improve practice, supported by an open‑door culture, co‑teaching, and the sharing of ideas and expertise.
Co‑curricular and extra‑curricular activities form an important part of school life, helping to build strong relationships, enhance learning, and promote student wellbeing. A willingness to engage beyond the classroom is a distinct advantage.
Any appointment in the school is subject to Teaching Council registration, Garda Vetting, medical fitness to teach, the completion of the redeployment process, and sanction from the Department of Education and Youth.
It is a requirement to hold a valid Statutory Declaration and to complete the Form of Undertaking for this position upon offer of employment.
