An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
This position has arisen from the approval of our second Autism Classroom.
The role is to ensure pupils are safe while being transported to and from our school. The bus escort will be responsible for accompanying and supervising pupils on these journeys. At all times the bus escort must ensure pupils' safety and must facilitae a safe handover of pupils to school staff and to pupils' parents/guardians.
Local arrangements for collection and drop off of the appointed School Transport Bus Escort will be made between the bus escort and the bus driver.
Hours of work:
Morning Approx 7:50am-9:20am
Afternoon Approx 3:00pm-5:00pm
These hours will depend on agreed pick up point of bus escort.
Experience Required: Experience working with children with additional needs. Kind, patient and flexible. Good interpersonal skills and readily communicate with adults and children.
Requirements:

A Form of Undertaking must be completed upon offer of employment.
Salary €15.98 per hour in line with Department of Education and Youth guidelines for School Transport Bus Escorts.
The appontment of bus escort will be subject to Garda Vetting requirements for the diocese of Kilmore, to Occupational Health Screening and to verification of references.
