An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

Gilson NS is a (Co-Ed/Girls/Boys) school under the patronage of the Catholic Bishop of Meath, Dr Tom Deenihan. The school is inviting applications for a full-time Special Needs Assistant (SNA) position for the 2026/2027 school year. The successful candidate will initially be assigned to mainstream classes; however, this assignment is subject to change based on the school's operational needs.

Candidates should:
- Have experience working with pupils with autism, complex needs and behavioural needs.
- Have a positive outlook and a caring and flexible nature.
- Have excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
- Must show a commitment to ongoing professional learning, reflective practice, and supporting the diverse needs of pupils.
