An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

The escort will accompany pupils on taxi/bus transport from their home to and from school. The escort must be available in the mornings (7.15am- 8.45am) and afternoons (2pm-3.30pm), five days per week. The escort is responsible for the safety of the children on board the bus/taxi and will be required to provide pupil care needs including, but not limited to, assisting the children getting on and off the bus/taxi, securing appropriate seat belts, etc. Good communication skills and experience of caring for/working with children with additional needs is desirable.

All appointments will be subject to Garda Vetting certification and TUSLA Children First.
