St. Patrick’s Special NS, Enniscorthy is a school for pupils with a Moderate or Severe/Profound General Learning Disability. Many students have additional diagnosis of Autism and complex medical needs, ranging in age from 4 to 18 years.
Experience in teaching children with additional educational needs and knowledge of teaching strategies such as Lamh, PECS, Positive Behaviour Supports is desirable.
Also some experience in working as part of class team (SNAs and Nurses) is a distinct advantage.
We are seeking teachers with a strong commitment and genuine interest in the education of children with additional needs enabling them to reach their full potential.
