POST DETAILS
Panel of Applicants:
An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
This is a permanent part-time position which is 0.5 of a full post (16 hours). It should be noted that it is over 5 days each week.
The post is subject to continued NCSE allocation and SENO review.
Qualifications as set out by the Department of Education and Youth for this post.
Duties of the post are as outlined in the Department of Education and Youth Circular 0032/2026.
Duties of the post are subject to change depending on the care needs of the pupils and the school.
Appointment is subject to current Garda Vetting requirements, Occupational Health screening, completion of online Tusla Child Safeguarding Training and satisfactory references.
Experience working with children on the ASD spectrum, OT needs, emotional/behavioural difficulties and intimate care/toileting needs is desirable.
