Panel of Applicants:
An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
This position is for 0.5 post; 16 hours per week
Cratloe School has two ASD classes
Candidate must be able to work well within a team, display a strong work ethic and demonstrate a willingness to avail of further training.
This position will involve working closely with the class teacher and other staff in support of children with special needs. It will often involve working with more than one child with additional needs during the school day.
The successful candidate will be expected to respect the confidentiality of students at all times.
The successful candidates may work in the special class and / or mainstream classes.
The following experience is desirable...
- experience working with children with ASD and ADHD
- Knowledge of relate in dealing with behaviour is desirable
- Evidence of CPD in the area of Special Education is advantageous as well as displaying a commitment to ongoing CPD engagement.
- Training and experience in first aid administration.
Appointment is subject to satisfactory references, OHS screening & Garda vetting requirements
