Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Special Needs Assistant (SNA), who will work in mainstream and also a special class for students who are diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. This is a standard SNA contract, DES paid, in Midleton CBS Secondary School.
Applicants should demonstrate a professional, flexible, self-motivated and caring approach to the role and display initiative in the area of Special Needs Support.
They must be capable of working with and supporting a range of special educational needs - emotional, behavioural, physical, medical and personal care needs and demonstrate an ability to work well as part of a team.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills will be required.
Shortlisting may apply and only those shortlisted will be contacted.
Garda Vetting will apply and canvassing will disqualify.
The appointment is subject to sanction by the Dept of Education and Skills.
