An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

Caherelly NS is a Catholic School. The successful candidate must hold the appropriate Certificate to teach Catholic Religious Education. Caherelly National School is a mixed, Catholic school with two Autism classes. This vacancy is for a one-year Fixed Term contract.

Our school has two autism classes and four mainstream. While this position is for a mainstream teaching position, placements are subject to change at the discretion of the Principal at any stage. A comprehensive understanding of autism and experience managing integration in and out of SET and autism classes are required in candidates. It is also essential for candidates to have a good understanding and appreciation of learning differences and a highly flexible approach to their teaching.
Applicants should have good skills in collaboration and team work, excellent communication, they should be diligent, enthusiastic and innovative teachers who are willing to get involved in our whole school community and contribute to the overall development of the school.
