An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
This fixed-term post arises because of a career break for the duration of the 2026 - 2027 school year. The initial duties are those of a principal release teacher, serving five different schools. Applicants must have access to travel. These duties may be subject to change.
Our Lady's Abbey, Scoil na gCailíní, is a Catholic school. We are seeking professionals who are team players and who are willing to contribute to the overall development of a busy school.
The following skills, experience and qualifications are desirable:
• Probation
• Experience of teaching in a similar sized school, with multi-grade classes
Experience in the following will be advantageous:
• Experience of teaching Literacy Lift Off and Building Bridges
• Skills or Expertise in the teaching of Sport, IT and Music
• A willingness to bring extra-curricular activities to the school and get involved in extra curricular activities
• Knowledge and experience of teaching children with a range of additional needs
Copies of certificates, diplomas and degrees to be provided by candidates invited to interview.
