An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

The post is a post in mainstream, but is subject to change at the determination of the Principal. Donoughmore N.S. is seeking to appoint a team player who is willing to contribute to the overall development of Donoughmore N.S. The following skills, experience and qualifications are desirable:-Probation advantageous-Experience of teaching in a similar sized co-educational school-Experience in the following areas will be advantageous: Use of Decodable Readers, Literacy & Numeracy Assessments for pupils, Standardised Testing, Guided Reading, Team-Teaching/In Class Support in Literacy and Numeracy, Green Flag and Active Flag promotion.-Interests/skills/experience in Sport are advantageous. Three copies of the application form should be submitted. Applications should be clearly marked 'Application for Mainstream Teaching Post' on the outside of the envelope. Non-compliance with terms of the advertisement will automatically disqualify candidates. Your application must also be accompanied by the contact details of a minimum of 3 professional references. Candidates called to interview will be required to provide proof of qualifications, Teaching Council registration and teaching practice grades. Appointment will be subject to Teaching Council Registration, current Garda Vetting requirements and Occupational Health Screening.
