The Board of Management invites applications for a Special Education Teacher, in Mainstream for 17.5 hours commencing on 1st September 2026.
This is a fixed term post for 17.5 hours for the 2026 /2027 academic year.
Our school offers a unique opportunity to join a dedicated, supportive and highly skilled team of teachers and Special Needs Assistants. Staff work collaboratively to deliver educational opportunities for all children.
We are seeking teachers who are:
- Passionate about working with children in the Special Education Teaching Setting
- Highly motivated, proactive and able to demonstrate initiative in their professional practice.
- Committed to engaging in ongoing professional learning and willing to independently pursue opportunities to enhance their knowledge and skills and can provide evidence of relevant learning
- Collaborative team players who contribute positively to a dedicated and supportive school community.
- Reflective practitioners who value evidence-based approaches to education.
Desirable Experience and Skills:
- Teaching qualifications in Special Education as recognised by the Department of Education.
- Experience working with children with additional educational needs in an educational setting.
- Experience supporting children who present with behaviours of concern using positive, proactive and evidence-informed approaches.
