An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
Scoil Phádraig is seeking applications from SNAs for a number of positions in our Autism and Mainstream Class settings. The vacancies include: 1 Full-Time SNA Post, 1 Infant Day Post (0.83) and 1 Part-Time Post (0.5)
The SNA roles involve supporting children who have a range of sensory, communication and social/emotional needs. The successful candidates are expected to meet the children's primary care needs; including toileting needs, assisting with specific medical conditions, supervision and safety and behaviour de-escalation. SNAs will also provide support for secondary care needs when required.
Our SNAs work in collaboration with teachers, other SNAs and school leaders. They must have the interpersonal skills to work within teams, be adaptable and willing to regularly debrief and reflect on their practice. Up-skilling and professional development is part of the role, to ensure skill-sets align with children's changing or emerging needs.
The successful candidates are expected to respect the confidentiality of all students and to respect and uphold the ethos of the school.
A minimum qualification of QQI Level 5 is preferable for these SNA posts in Scoil Phádraig,
Appointment is subject to vetting requirements, Medmark Screening and Patron Approval.
