Additional Information:
The Special Needs Assistant (SNA) will work as part of a collaborative team to support pupils with additional care needs in accessing and participating fully in school life. The successful candidate will assist pupils with their care, safety, wellbeing, communication, social development and educational participation in accordance with their identified needs and under the direction of the class teacher and school leadership.
The role may involve supporting pupils in the classroom, during yard time, on school activities and in the implementation of programmes designed to promote independence, inclusion and positive engagement in learning. The SNA will contribute to creating a safe, caring and inclusive environment for all pupils and will work closely with teachers, parents and external professionals where appropriate.
