An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
Kolbe Special School caters for pupils from 4 - 18 years with a severe and profound learning disability and those with an additional diagnosis of autism. There are currently 48 pupils on the role. We have recenly moved into our new school.
This is an additional teaching post sanctioned to the school.
The successful candidate will work alongside a team of 9 teachers, 32 SNAs, Nurses, 16 Bus Escorts and a secretary and caretaker. The school is supported by a NCSE Occupational Therapist. Through the HSE the school is supported by a team of Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist, Speech Therapist and Psychologist.
The school offers the pupils a primary curriculum, Junior Cycle Level 1 and Senior Cycle Level 1. We have 19 co-operation hours with the LOETB for our senior pupils.
